remote folder

hi

i want to create a folder that connects to another server. I am going to be running a program that is cpu intensive on server #1, but that same server, server #1, does not have alot of space and therefore can not store the files even temporarly. I want to create a directory on server #1 that is connected to server #2. So, the program is running on server #1, but downloading the files to server #2. I tried to search the forums, but I wasn't even sure what to search for.

thanks

you need NFS. Create a folder on machine2 and share it. You can then mount it on machine1. But NFS has performance limitations
