I have never used cmake so I am clueless about how it works as I've only used "make" which comes loaded by default on all *nix systems...anyhow can you post the entire output of cmake after you run it and perhaps that will clue us in how to supply that lib and its location to cmake...

As I've never used cmake I was wondering if there is a config file it uses where parameters like BUNDLE_LIB_SEARCH_DIRS are defined...because it doesn't seem to be picking up parameters like LD_LIBRARY_PATH that have been defined in the shell env.

So does it use a global config file? If it does then it'd good to peek 'n poke at it and that's where I was going with this...

No.

Find the main.cpp.o file and run:

Code:
file /full/path/to/the/object/file/main.cpp.o

Click the above link for an example cmake config file...once you find it in your proj dir post the contents here so it can be used to figure out the location of libs and the options passed to the C/C++ compiler by cmake...

When to use /Users/m/bin instead of /usr/local/bin (& whats the diff?)?

Q1. I understand that /usr/local/bin means I can install/uninstall stuff in here and have any chance of messing up my original system files or effecting any other users. I created this directory myself. But what about the directory I didn't create, namely /Users/m/bin? How is that directory... (1 Reply)
