Question I/O Performance Evaluation Tools
When running top, I notice a bit more I/O wait time than usual. Is there a tool or piece of software out there that can me help evaluate the performance of these operations on my machine? Thanks!

how can iostat help? Is that *definately* all I need to look at this stuff? Thanks for the help.

I/O wait Problem
Hi,
I have a considerable i/o wait on my Solaris box. I have read all I can about the two commands: 'iostat' and 'top'. Both of these both be used to determine that there *is* a problem with i/o wait time. What I'm looking for is a little software package or a command option to help me determine *which* running process is causing the ruckus. Thanks!

Did not use 'wait' yet. How I understand by now the wait works only for child processes, started background.
