UNIX for Dummies Questions & Answers

Hi Guys,

I have a simple request. I have a file in w3c format. Each file has 2 header lines. Rest of the lines are 16 columns each. They are separated by Tab. I need to discard the first 2 lines and then write each column of the txt file into a seperate column of CSV. I tried the command below but that results in all the text columns ending up in the first column in CSV. I need to write these columns into separate columns in CSV. Can somebody please help me on this


awk '{print $1,$2,$3,$4,$5,$6,$7,$8,$9,$10,$11,$12,$13,$14,$15,$19}' log_137282.esw3c_S.201406030000-2400-0 > output.csv

FNR>2 --> skip first 2 lines
