Allocate diskspace AT&T SV R4

# Hello -all,

I have a problem with the SV R4 install.
During the floppy2 procedure I get the message that I allocated less than 35 Mb for UNIX. It's a clean install, no other OS. Just a clean PC with a 40Gb disk. I get the # prompt telling me to restart the installation to allocate more Mb's.. How do I do this? I have a 100% partition for UNIX (Active boot) 1023 cylinders. I hope someone has an idea how I can solve this..?

Thanks
Ray

BTW: Searched this forum and the rest of Internet.: But....lost&neverFound.

SVR4 is a very old release (1980's) and it's not going to work very well with modern hardware. It is a 32 bit OS and 40 GB is probably more than it can handle. Try giving it a 1 GB partition or a 512 MB partition. That is more its speed.

Thanks. 2% partition worked.. but now I encountered the PANIC: HD controller warning. I guess this 2001 PC is to new for SV Smilie Going back in time is not that easy I noticed. ;-)
