What happens when i write on terminal "cat /bin/ls" ?

i all, i'm trying to understand a code, i see this line

cat /bin/ls

that have a strange output...can someone explain me what is it?

That command wil print the content of the binary file /bin/ls . This will result in gibberish.

If you want to have less "gibberish" output you could use a hex-dumper:
