The question is "what operating system are you using?"

Does that make the requirement clear so we can offer some guidance? The various operating systems implement this in many different ways, so we need to know which you are using to get the advice correct.

Once what's done? You need to answer our question. What is your system?

"UNIX" is not a useful answer. That's like answering "blue" when someone asks you what model your car is.
