UNIX for Dummies Questions & Answers

Ok.....the details of the error:

Firstly when you open the zip drive in the WIndows machine(XP not Win7 - my bad) the file names are unreadable. The contents of the disk come up as follows;

Name = 'row of squares'.'row of squares(3 chars)
Size = 16 449kb (all files)
Date = 1/08/1980 12:08am (all files)

When you try to drag the files across to the PC you get the following error;
" Error copying file or folder. Cannot read from source disk or file"

The disk (which was formatted on the QNX machine) appears to be FAT to the windows machine. Any idea's?
