displaying remote x sesson in suse 9.3

I just upgraded to suse 9.3 from 9.2.
Previously I had a remote x session from a sun 9 server that ran on my suse 9.2 box but I am unable to re-establish that session.

Under 9.2 it was necessary to modify the /etc/X11/xdm/xdm-config file
by commenting out the last line "DisplayManager.requestPort: 0"
and by modifying the /etc/opt/kde3/share/config/kdm/kdmrc
file to edit the area of the kdmrc file referring to [Xdmcp] by changing Enable=false to Enable=true.

I have made these changes but am unable to get the session to establish.
Anyone know what I should look at next?
Thanks
