Sorry, but none of the mailx-variants i know of have a "-r" option. Which system are you on?

Btw: could you please use CODE-tags as requested in the rules and the posting-mask? Thank you.

I am using hp unix version : HP-UX B.11.11 U 9000/800 411112266 unlimited-user license.

earlier i done the same in solaris successfully . Here also -r is working but i am not able to use it with ~c . in solaris we have -c option to add CC to any mail but here in HP-UX we dont have option -c . we have to use ~c here for CC but it's not working with -r . both the options are working fine individuallly.

In HP-UX use sendmail instead, it is pretty much simple & easy to use:
Code:
{
        echo "From: asd@ac.com"
        echo "To: abc@tech.com"
        echo "Cc: efg@tech.com"
        echo "Subject: Testing"
        cat file1
} | /usr/lib/sendmail -t
