Missing Library Files
Can anyone send me copies via email or allow me to download the following files for Unix 4.0?

libmsfs.so
libfilsys.so


These files were lost due to corruption. All the other library files are fine.

I have the files on tape, but without libmsfs.so I am unable to open vrestore.
I am open to suggestions on how to get the files from tape.

I am also open to any suggestions.

Please read our rules:

I doubt that anyone can legally give you copies of those files. In general, if you can't read a backup tape, you reload the os to get to a point where you can read the backup tape. Do you have your installation cd's?

A short cut that sometimes works... Boot the installion cd into single user mode, mount the root disk, and copy the one or two files that you need. If you have a lot of commands that still work, maybe you can reverse the process... mount the cd and copy a few files off of it unto your root disk.

Sorry, I don't have anything like that. It would be very specific to your version of unix. I mostly use HP-UX and SunOS.

HP was able to provide me the files at no cost.

I ftp'd them to the server and everything is great.
