Data Help: Unix Monitoring Script

guys,

i am creating a script to monitor our sun solaris unix server and email me the result of the script. currently, i am using the prtdiag -v command in the script to diagnose the hardware specs of the server. any suggestions on what else could i add like disk monitoring (using df)...

It matters what type of monitoring you already have in place but some of these may help:

uptime - check to see last reboot
df -bl - check all local filesystem for possible space issues
If using a Disk Manager - either metastat (DiskSuite) or vxprint (Veritas)

You could also check the messages file (or where ever your syslog.conf puts messages to ) for errors.
