Do statement
Hi,

I am trying with do ...done loop command, but i am getting error..

can u give me an example so that i can be clear of the thing,,

and while statement also..

What do you want to do with do..done statement ??

This one is for a 'for'

Code:
for file in `ls /path/to/dir`
do
echo "$file is present in /path/to/dir"
done

This one is for a 'while'
Code:
while read line
do
echo "Read $line"
done < /etc/passwd

i am not getting any error neither output for this above statement,..
