Where are "get/mget" files stored?
From telnet, I ftped into a remote server.

When using mget or get, where are the downloaded files stored?

If you have ftp'ed into a linux machine, then the ftp login takes you to the home directory of the user name you have provided. m/get and m/put will exchange files to and fro with that folder i.e. the home directory.

If you have ftp'ed into a windows machine, you just can not put or get files. You will have to go into the C/D/E... directory and the carry out the transaction.

You have two directoeries to worry about. Vino explained the remote directories.

lcd changes and shows the current directory on your side
pwd prints the remote working directory
cd changes and shows the remote working directory
