This is the result from running swlist -l product | grep JFS

JFS B.11.31 Base VxFS File System 4.1 for HP-UX

It is possible that if you have Online-JFS, someone has already issued a lvextend command but not yet issued an extendfs or Online-JFS fsadm. Similarly it is possible that the original newfs (or mkfs?) command contained a size parameter rather than defaulting to the whole partition size.

This is getting fiddly. You'll probably need to look at the output from mkfs -m to determine if extendfs has been run already.

Well worth making an Ignite backup before trying to fix a system partition.

Please post:
Code:
bdf /usr
lvdisplay /dev/vg00/lvol6 # Or whatever lvol your /usr is mounted on

Try using SAM to extend the lvol of one extent if you can, sam will unmount and extendfs for you if it can... though /usr maybe accessed ( check with fuser -cu /usr
If it cant, then you will have to be in single user mode...

The results of fuser -cu /usr:

/usr: 0m(root) 1125mt(daemon) 2295mt(root) 1156mt(root) 673mt(root) 842mt(root) 603mt(root) 607mt(root) 1933m(root) 672mt(root) 653mt(root) 1043m(root) 1143mt(root) 881mt(root) 882mto(root) 856mt(root) 1450mt(root) 871mt(root) 1053mt(root) 837mt(root) 1131mt(root) 1496m(sfmdb) 1694m(cimsrvr) 1556mt(root) 1542mt(root) 1532mt(root) 1522mt(root) 1507mt(root) 1493m(sfmdb) 1497m(sfmdb) 1851mt(root) 1693m(root) 1700m(root) 1699m(root) 1698m(root) 1697m(root) 1695m(root) 1696m(root) 1861mt(root) 1792m(sfmdb) 1592mo(root) 1706m(sfmdb) 2100mt(root) 1846mt(root) 1879mt(root) 1712m(root) 1711m(root) 1710m(root) 1709m(root) 1708m(root) 1707m(root) 1814m(sfmdb) 1762m(sfmdb) 1752m(sfmdb) 1757m(sfmdb) 1815m(sfmdb) 1856mt(root) 1745m(sfmdb) 1746m(root) 1908m(root) 1793m(sfmdb) 1777m(sfmdb) 2155mt(root) 2106mt(root) 2099m(root) 2101m(root) 2105m(root) 1876mt(root) 1897mt(root) 2087mt(root) 2098m(root) 2108mt(root) 2171m(root) 2170mt(root) 2167mt(root) 2166m(root) 2156mt(root) 2116mt(root) 2190m(sfmdb) 2393mt(root) 2211mt(root) 2258mt(root) 2193m(root) 2191m(sfmdb) 2182m(root) 2177m(root) 2397mt(root) 2252mt(root) 2403mt(root) 2373mt(root) 2233mt(root) 2225m(root) 2266mt(root) 2259mt(root) 2316mt(root)

And I have tried in smh but it fails because it cannot unmount the FS. This is a new machine for me so it is not in production yet. We just got it and I have already installed the OS so I can do it again if need be.

I believe I have it working now. While in single user mode, most of the commands did not work. So I had to mount the FS first, I guess to get the Kernel updated with certain commands??? This is the sequence that I did:

mount /dev/vg00/lvol7 /usr
umount /dev/vg00/lvol7
extendfs /dev/vg00/rlvol7
mount /dev/vg00/lvol7

After doing this and now rebooting the machine, the FS now shows the entire 13GB of space.
