SNMP Public String

What value is read by snmp as a public string on a Fedora workstation.

Sorry for the confusion, I was under the mis-assumption that the public string was maintained somewhere other than the snmp.config file. I am trying to learn about snmp and was unable to perform a snmpwalk against my own box.
I finally found the information in the snmp.config file.
Sorry for the wasted bandwidth.

Hi , Currently DELL OMSA SNMP sends data through default udp port 161.I want my custom SNMP MIB also to send data in the same udp port 161.Whether its possible.If yes where to configure .I tried starting my custom MIB in udp port 161,but it throws port already in use.Kindly guide. (1 Reply)
