Question How can I share dir
Hi!
I have Solaris on Sun SPARC e250 platform & about 30 workstations running win98. I need to make shared directory on my server and to make it visible to all workstations. The question is how? Thnx. Smilie

Install samba on your system

http://www.samba.org/

You may also have to place the directory that is going to be shared in the /etc/dfs/dfsshares file, then do a shareall. I'm not quite sure if this is necessary, though, using samba.

This is only for NIS and NIS+.

Samba has a config file and you just list the dir. in that file that you want to share along w/ some other paramiters.
