I have an issue where I am running out of ports when using RSH to start a script remotely.
I have a script that i need to run that has been pushed out to every server. I have a list of servers (hostfilelist)
Basically, I have a simple loop that will run them in paralell.

Hello,
On Linux, I can use 'ps -efL | grep process_name' to list all threads that belong to a running process. -L has a different meaning on AIX and I could not find an equivalent flag in the man pages.
Does anyone know of a way to dump the threads under a running process?

Any idea how to get the process id of the process using the ports
lsof -i :portnumber does not work in my machine. I am on sun Solaris SPARC.

I know that there is a unix system process that checks periodically the ports and if it finds any zombies then it frees them (the period is set by a kernel parameter).
Can anyone tell me the name of the process and the kernel parameter ?
