Exec command
Hi can some one explain the following command , It would really help if some can really elloborate on what is happening out here

Code:
export PATH | exec /bin/sh ./auto_approve :q

P.S: This is the first time i am using exec ,so an elloboration what does it do and what is the use of the :q will be really helpful.

How can I use the exec command to log my korn shell session to the screen and the log file? Currently I have this command: $exec 1> ${LOG} 2>&1 This logs the output to the log file only. I want it to go to the screen also. Is this possible with this command? thanks. (10 Replies)

Need help with -exec cp command.

linux redhat 8.0 I am getting accustomed to using the -exec command to get around my databse.. and use it to edit and update files..! is this more apllicable than jumping from one directory to the other.. NAME

       ttk::frame - Simple container widget

SYNOPSIS

       ttk::frame pathName ?options?

DESCRIPTION

       A ttk::frame widget is a container, used to group other widgets together.

STANDARD OPTIONS

       -class		     -cursor		  -takefocus
       -style

       See the ttk_widget manual entry for details on the standard options.

WIDGET-SPECIFIC OPTIONS
       [-borderwidth borderWidth]  The desired width of the widget border.  Defaults to 0.  [-relief relief] One of the standard Tk border styles:
       flat, groove, raised, ridge, solid, or sunken.  Defaults to flat.  [-padding padding] Additional padding  to  include  inside  the  border.
       [-width width]  If specified, the widget's requested width in pixels.  [-height height] If specified, the widget's requested height in pix-
       els.

WIDGET COMMAND

       Supports the standard widget commands configure, cget, identify, instate, and state; see ttk::widget(n).

NOTES

       Note that if the pack, grid, or other geometry managers are used to manage the children of the frame, by the GM's requested size will  nor-
       mally take precedence over the frame widget's -width and -height options.  pack propagate and grid propagate can be used to change this.
