client IP address
when working on a telnet is it possible the client machine accessing the server machine supply its IP Address to the server machine . The only other shell i can use is the TCL shell.[/FONT]

The server already knows the client's IP. It gets the client IP when the client attempts to connect to the server.

Look into the who command to help you get a clients IP on the server.

to get the ipaddess for the current login

who am i | sed 's/[^(]*[(]\([^)]*\)[)]/\1/g'

and for all logins:
