Changing file pemissions for all the files in a directory
For example, if i wanty to change the permission to 777 for all the files in a directory, is there any simpler way?

chmod 777 *.sh ==> for all the files of .sh extension

-R will also serve the purpose I guess

For e.g.
 
chmod 777 /tmp/20120110/*

-R used for changing the files recursively

-R, --recursive
change files and directories recursively
