deleting files by type (symbolic links)

How do I delete just the symbolic links in a directory? I have files that I wish to keep that have similar names, length and date/time. Can I use file size?
Thanks
kyle

Try the find command

$ find ./ -type l -ls

Once you are sure it's finding the files you want removed (and no others),
use $ find ./ -type l -exec rm {} \;

See the man page for find for your OS to insure it works this way.

The find ./ -type l part works great THANKS! . I was using . instead of ./
The problem I have now is with the -exec part after the pipe. It gives a bash command not found error. I'm using Solaris v5.1.

Solaris 5.1? I didn't think bash was part of old Solaris.

It's probably just a problem with the PATH - it might be complaining because it can't find the 'rm' command. Figure out where the rm command is and use the complete path ( /usr/bin/rm instead of rm )

I was rloggedin to a different machine when I ran uname and got 5.1. It is actually 5.8.
Pathing out rm doesn't work either. I get the same error. But, thanks, for your help.
