Legato networker 7.6
Hi ALl

I have recently installed networker 7.6 on my solaris 10 host(V240). My bosses requirement was that the GUI was still availible (nwadmin). However on 7.6 there is no GUI and nwadmin does not exist. I have copied nwadmin over from the previous version of legato i had installed (6.2), and have gotten nwadmin working. However Smilie now my boss is complaining that the mount/unmount etc etc buttons are not availible. How do i get it to look like the nwadmin i had in version 6.2? can anyone please help?

I am quite sure there is a GUI... what are you looking for?
If it is an X application you looking for then of course you wont find one ... Its gone JAVA... Like IBM's TSM/adsm...where
now you launch dsmj...

im looking for the GUI for 7.6 (to run the mount/unmount etc) - what command is run to open the GUI. i prefer command line myself, but sadly i dont make the finale calls Smilie ...

In networker presentation I found:

It mentions a web based GUI... (Java...)
But like TSM (I use, sorry no more legato here...) I am sure there is a way to launch the GUI without web stuff... I will try to search a bit when I have some time to spare...

okay, after much perseverance - i have managed to get nwadmin to work (and look) exactly like that of the old... copied the nwadmin app over (from old legato installation), then i copied over the /usr/lib/x11/app-defaults/Networker file over from the old version to the host where the new version is installed. and just like that, it works! Smilie

But wont you be missing new enhancements?

I am having an issue with Sun EBS Networker 7.3, (64 bit) (Sun Hardware, Solaris 9) where it expects an Oracle DB (11.5.10 with 10g Database (10.2.0.2)) size of 4294967295 bytes.
