Tools Mandrake and Unix shell

Im somewhat new to *nix and i am wanting to make a basic shell server. I have mandrake 10.1 and the shell in it is not a typical unix shell. How can I make a typical unix shell server? any help would be appreciated.

What shell are you using now in Mandrake?

I think it is /bin/bash (if I'm not mistaken), which is perfectly fine. If you want anyother shell, add an entry in /etc/shells and change the entry in the password file.
