[Solved] pls. help with Samba
Hi,

I just installed Samba. Updated smb.conf

Code:
 
[DR_test]
path    =       /DR_test
public  =       yes
writable =      yes
guest ok        = yes
create mask     = 0765

I restarted the smb.
Code:
 
 service smb restart
Shutting down SMB services:                                [  OK  ]
Shutting down NMB services:                                [  OK  ]
Starting SMB services:                                     [  OK  ]
Starting NMB services:                                     [  OK  ]

from Windows 7, when I try to connect:

Code:
 
C:\Users\net use m:\x.x.x.x\DR_test

System error 67 has occurred.
The network name cannot be found.

I also checked " chkconfig smb" it's on.

Please help? Am I missing any thing else? Why can't I connect from Windows?

Don't you need double backslash?

Code:
net use M: \\x.x.x.x\DR_test

Thank you so muich, I was in so rush to get this working. Damm users on my back. I never saw the double slash. It's working now.
