Hello my friend,
The usage of "Thanks" is up to you...

About the code tags, I have been stuck also using a Mac OSX, I still have not found where square braces are no the tild (more important for me..) I bypassed clicking on the Quote icon and replacing between the braces quote by code...

There is a file found on root called "-k". How do you get rid of a file that makes looks like an option?

There was a file in the / called -k. It was 67xxxxxx bytes, or 67MB. It looks like it was just a tar file gone wrong. What I am guessing happened is that a tape backup didn't work quite right. I deleted it, and everything works fine now, as far as I can tell. I will be doing some clean up on this machine and the other one. I appreciate the help.

I had a drive go bad. I have replaced the drive and have my system up. I have a 1-to-1 mirror raid. My mirrored boot drive brings the system up. I issued a reboot command. The system comes up gives me a login prompt and generates the error: failed write of utmpx entry:"i2". What is i2? (1 Reply)
