Difference between su and scsu?
Hi,

Could you please explain the difference between scsu and su?

i tried doing "man scsu" but my unix machine is saying No manual entry for scsu.

All i know is su and scsu both are used to login as super user. Can somebody help me understanding the concept of both?

I've never heared of a login mechanism called SCSU. To my knowledge it stands for Standard Compression Scheme for Unicode.
What platform are you working on?
What do following commands show?

Hi,

When i tried these commands , it is giving me some path


/usr/local/bin/scsu

Also if this is not a general unix command , can you please tell me what do you mean by "Standard compression scheme for unicode" and how and where to use it?

This link points to the specification of SCSU.
The command file /usr/local/bin/scsu can tell you if that file is a shellscript or a compiled executeable.

I never heard of such command scsu . Anyways you can consult Wikipedia for the SCSU Algorithm here
