So... the last thing that is comming to my mind is using expect script... Do You have binary called except? What's output for following?

do you have any idea of what we can do? any alternative to crontab?

i have asked the supplier to provide me with the c-script equivalent, i am afraid though, he will not give it to me since it is not open source.

hi,

i have finally been able to go to the exact directory where the dump file is and can extract it directly from there.

problem is the file is in .dmp.Z and we need it in .txt.

is there a way to convert it?

hi, I run a .sh file using crontab. I need to know the path of the file . Previously when I run the file alone , i used "pwd" but now when using crontab it gives the temp directory of the file. Is there any way I can find the absolute path of the file when i execute it ? Regards, Ranga (7 Replies)
