jabber 2 install

yo! i've decided to run a jabber server and i'm having some install errors. Actually one major error that is pushing me closer and closer to taking a hammer to my machine.

Here is some info:
=====================================================
OS: FreeBSD 5.2.1-Stable

Source: Jabber-2.0s6

Configure cmd: ./configure --prefix=/path/to/jabber2 --enable-mysql --enable-ssl --enable-idn

Make Output error: error: Libidn >= 0.3.0 not found

using the pkg_info cmd i see i have libidn 0.5.12 installed, which is correct cuz i've reinstalled it several times trying to fix this problem.

Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks in advance. Cheers!

May or may not help but it seems like a library path issue - see Installing libraries

Thanks for the response RTM. I've combed through the docs and installed->uninstalled->installed serveral times using several methods. Jabber 2 still does not see my lib for some reason. The docs you referred to are for version 1.4 too. But again, I'm glad someone tried to help.
