How can I modify this to have the script divide the columns by the 119 line instead of the first line? Smilie

I tried replacing:

with

  @one=grep {$_ == 119} @{$c[$i]};

but it didn't work...

The above script is not dividing by first column, but multiplying. To multiply by 119th column use:

What I am trying to do is to divide by the each column by its 119 line... not multiply by the 119 column.

Hi All!

I have a question related to my old question (but much simpler!)

if I have a file like this:

8  10  12  14  16  18  0  2  6
2   4    6    8    10  12  16  18  10
 6  8  12  16  18  0  2  2  6 
 2  2  2  2  2  2  2  2  2  
10  12  16  4  8  16  4  16  0
 8  10  14  16  0  4  8  12  14

And I want to divide all the lines by line 4 for example (except column 1) to get:

1  2  3  4  5  6  8  9  5
6  4  6  8  9  0  1  1  3 
2  1  1  1  1  1  1  1  1
10  6  8  2  4  8  2  8  0

What is the simplest script that I can use?

Dividing a column and submitting it as stdin

I currently have two programs written in C named "remove" and "calculate. When I call ./remove it removes some data from stdin.
