I'll look into that. I think I have a machine with nothing on it at the moment. as I was trying to load freeBSD and already partitioned it or formatted it. It's not my main computer though. I do need to put something on it.

You can try install Ubuntu 10.04.02 It'is the most stable version for now. I believe it is very easy install it.

Thanks Yazu! Did that and it installed like a charm. I should have been a little more careful in my research. I realize now that 10.04.02 is the more stable version. And I've also read that some video problems are common. I'll start playing around on that tonight. All has been a learning experience though.
