Checking Existence and file size of File
Hi,

I am a SAP- ABAP programer , i have only little knowledge of Unix.

My issue is i have a list of files which are in internal table.
I want to create a script which consist of all these files and in one go i can check in the unix server about there existance and there file size.

Can anyone help me in writing the script.

WARNING: untested off the top of my head code
Code:
for file in $(SAP_script_to_output_all_filenames); do
   if [ ! -e $file ] ; then
      echo "$file does not exist"
   else
      echo $file is $(ls -l $file|awk '{print $5}')
   fi
done

Just as additionnal info, you can go to SE30 then click "Tips & Tricks" (or press the <F6> key) then expand the "Internal Tables" Menu.
It will give you some clue about best code practice & how to efficiently deal with internal tables.

Also use the "Measure Runtime" button so that you can see what code is the most efficient.
