cron jobs

I was wondering if itīs possible to cron job not to run on a certian day and time. Iīve got a job that runs everyday at 08:00
but would like it not to run on the 20:th between 08:00 and 10:00
Anyone know if this is possible, and if. How do i do it?

regards...

Smilie at fifteen minute intervals would be
*/15 20, 21 20 * * /etc/cron.<interval>
just use commas to seperate same type..

You write some conflicting information - first you state you want it to not run on a certain day (for a job that runs at 8 everyday) and then put don't want it to run on the 20th from 08:00 to 10:00.

To run a cron job at 08:00 everyday but on the 20th of the month: 00 08 1-19,21-31 * *

If you need something more than that, please specify more clearly.

Moxxx68 - take a look at the crontab man page - you almost had it (although I'm not sure where the 15 minutes came from).

my bad
i was supposed to write this i was under the impression it was supposed to run on the 20 between 8 and 10 so i gave a 15 minute interval as an example
*/15 20-22 20 * *
didn't quite catch the part about not on the 20th!!! and not between 8 and 10!! ? thanx for informing of my mistake..
