Unable to extract bz2-00 file

I have a file having name smthing.tar.bz2-00
I am trying to unzip it using
Code:
tar -xvjf "name"

But I am not able to unzip it.
PLease advise for the issue.

I guess you need to unzip it at first.

Also consider :

file smthing.tar.bz2-00

This may give some clue about the format of the smthing.tar.bz2-00 file.
If it comes from somewhere else, make sure it has been copied in binary mode.

You need all the files, not only the -00 but all the others : -01 -02 ... as well as the installer one.

Then, follow the instruction given into the installation guide.
