GRUB explanation

Hi am senthil..
am new to Linux and solaris installation ...
but ve worked in UNIX Platform..
knows the commands..
Need to clarify some technical terms in installation process..
What is
1)GRUB..
2)Swap Area
explain me as simple as possible...

GRUB = GRand Unified Bootloader. It is a multiboot boot loader. A bootloader is a small program that loads an operating system into memory and initializes it.

Swap Space = The area on a hard disk which is part of the Virtual Memory of your machine, which is a combination of accessible physical memory (RAM) and the swap space.

You could have found this information very easily using any Internet search engine.

grub problem- keeps rebooting as soon as it tries to do grub

Hi, I installed solaris 10 a few weeks ago. It was working fine during the past two weeks. However, now when I start to load to the drive, I get this problem: The BIOS screen comes up like normal, then screen goes blank and a message "Grub loading stage 2" flashes real quick then the computer...
