I have a data file that has 14 columns. I cannot use awk or perl but sed is installed on my host. I would like to delete a line if fields 10, 11 or twelve is greater than 999.99. How is this done using sed? :wall:

I want to remove all lines with length greater than "18 alphabets". Hence, my output should be:

Hi ,
I have a peculiar case, where my sed command is working on a file which contains lines of small length.
sed "s/XYZ:1/XYZ:3/g" abc.txt > xyz.txt
when abc.txt contains lines of small length(currently around 80 chars) , this sed command is working fine.
