Code stripper for bash script..
Dear all,
Is there any open source tool for stripping the comments to bash script without affecting the code part?

Please give me any reference to it..

What kind of code? C awk python.... - comment delimiters vary from C to awk, etc.

my bad..

 awk 'NR>1 && /#/ {gsub("#.*$","",$0)} 1'   mybashscript.sh  > tmp.sh

This doesn't seem like a very good idea. This makes it very annoying but not impossible to read the script, so it fails as a security measure and just causes headaches for yourself and others that might NEED to read it in the future...
