Failure to install Linux

I need help. My recently downloaded LINUX version won't install. Is this because of as previous OS being installed in my PC. I removed it prior to my LINUX installation and this is where problems started.

OK, lets start with simple questions:
  • Which Linux distribution?
  • Which architecture?
  • What was the previous OS?
  • What error do you get?

As a (subjective) side note: If you went to your physician and said "I has a hurtz. I can haz healings" do you really think he would be able to help you based on that information? Because it's about the same amount as you've given us.
