Help with packaging tools.

Hai friends,

I have used the dpkg command to install the package.
This package is created my me. This has only one "C" file.

I checked my module status by "lintian" command as a root.
When I execute the command it gives me following messages but the module got installed and worked well.

Code:
                lintian hello_1.1-1_all.deb
warning: lintian's authors do not recommend running it with root privileges!
                W: hello: manpage-has-bad-whatis-entry usr/share/man/man1/hello.1.gz
                W: hello: copyright-without-copyright-notice
                E: hello: extended-description-is-empty
                E: hello: arch-independent-package-contains-binary-or-object ./usr/bin/hello
                E: hello: unstripped-binary-or-object ./usr/bin/hello
                E: hello: missing-dependency-on-libc needed by ./usr/bin/hello
                E: hello: debian-changelog-file-missing
                E: hello: maintainer-name-missing vennila@bksys.co.in
                W: hello: no-section-field

I didn't prepare the 'postinst' and 'prerm' files at all.
But the "lintian" command didn't give the message to me like "E: hello: debian-prerm-file-missing".

Can any one explain me the errors what I got and why I didn't get the expected error from lintian command?

Thanks in advance..
