Java Error with ftpput
Hi There,

I am connecting to Bluemoon ftp server via Linux shell script. I can download the data using "ftpget" OK.

But when I try to upload the data using ftpput I receive below mentioned error:
"ftpput: ALLO error: Command not implemented"

The same set of commands works well when I connect to a FileZilla ftp Server.

Pls help.

It means the FTP server does not support the ALLO command (defined in RFC 959), and thus isn't really standards-compliant. The ALLO command tells the server to pre-allocate enough space for a file, so that it won't fail mid-transfer if it runs out of space.

Probably better to use curl, eg

Unfortunately I am running Debian on a Embeded SBC which do not supports to curl.

Did you try using put command rather then ftpput

yeah... but my platform even does not support curl... Smilie

Rpcinfo: can't contact portmapper: RPC: Authentication error; why = Failed (unspecified error)
