I am creating a file with all the source folders included in my git branch, when i grep for the used source, i found source included as relative path instead of absolute path, how can convert relative path to absolute path without changing directory to that folder and using readlink -f ? ... I would like to install a binary from source on a custom path, say /usr/local/myapps. There is no --prefix option in ./configure How can I "make install" at custom path. I tried this.
No --prefix
root@server # ./configure --help | grep prefix
root@server #

Hello,
i have downloaded an rpm package "hadoop-0.20.205.0-1.amd64.rpm"
in /usr/local/ directory.
I'm trying to install the rpm package in a new path/location (/usr/local/hadoop-0.20.205), but i can't.
I did:
1st try: Didn't work
sudo rpm -i --prefix=/usr/local/hadoop-0.20.205... (1 Reply)
