-0, what does it refer to?
When we write a Unix command for example like this:

curl -0 ........

What is meant by "-0"?

The -O is an option. It changes the behavior of a command.

try this:

ls

Notice the format of the output of the ls command changes

I'm really kind of new to those things.

Can you kindly clarify what you mean by -0 is an "Option"?

Is there an example of its usage that clarifies this meaning?

where do you have problems to understand what jim already wrote? and watchout, there is a difference between "0" and "o" and "O"!

The thing I'm not getting is changing the behavior of the command through -0, which is an option.

Can you illustrate this?
