Error what is [B]getopts "d:f:g:h:"[/B] opt ??

getopts "d:f:g:h:" opt

d, f,g,h are the options which u have to give while starting ur script.
(they are command line parameter which ur script will take when execute)

in ur script it will be like

Code:
while getopts "d:f:g:h:" ur_var
do
case ${ur_var} in 
1) d=${optarg};;
2)f=${optarg};;
3)g=${optarg};;
4)h=${optarg};;
5)*=ERROR

then ur script will be checking if the parameters are entered properly or not....
