550 5.7.1 Relaying denied During Send mail in UNIX
Hi ,

I am new to Send mail concept in UNIX , when ever am trying to send a mail am getting this errors , Could anyone please help me .

reason: 550 5.7.1 .. Relaying denied

You are trying to use an outbound mail server for which you do not have permission, or your IP address is not listed in the relays database (in the sendmail directory)

How do i add my IP address to relay database . And please let me know the steps to set up a mail server.

I had a wierd request from one of our guys. We are running on RedHat EL5. He asked that all mail originating from 3 servers he owns be sent to files instead of being sent out.
