find tnsnames.ora in unix
Can we find out what is the location of tnsnames.ora file used by the hp unix.

as root

Code:
find / -name "tnsnames.ora" -print

...although I an sure there will be a default location (perhaps under ORAHOME_n (n = 1,2,3 etc., depending on your installation)

Login as the oracle administration user.

Note: The file listener parameter file does not have to be called tnsnames.ora .

Where tnsnames.ora is
Generally, it is in $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin. If TNS_ADMIN is defined it will be in $TNS_ADMIN.
