got it!

But it is showing me the filename of my shell script.. I wanted to be able to run <myshellscript.sh> *.c and have it run on all C files in the directory, inserting each file's filename at the top above the #include. Is it possible to have each input files name put at the top of the file when using a *.c wildcard to grab a group of input files?

Code:
#!/bin/bash

filename=`echo $0`

for file in *.c
do
/usr/bin/sed "/#include/ {
i\\
the filename is $file
}" $file
done
exit 0
