Large Problem with nautilus

Hi, I am a torrent-maniak and I use Transmission.
All things were good but Nautilus begun to show problem while I was runnning Transmission. Its situation was becoming worse and worse.
Now, when I boot I can hardly open a nautilus window and browse my files. It will "stack" in seconds for sure!
I cannot stand it anymore
I had the same problem before 3 months.Somebody in ubuntu forums suggested me to install the "Dolphin" file browser, which is for KDE.Well, I installed Dolphin and I unistalled Nautilus. After a reboot the PC could't boot at all and I formatted it.I don't want to have the same problems now.So, can you suggest me some solutions or detailed information on how to install an other file browser without having any problem?
Plz post things that you are sure of them.I don't want to format my PC again!SmilieSmilie

Bumping up actually hurts your chances of a response

Bumping up posts or double posting is not permitted in these forums.
Many people search for un-answered posts, so a post with your "bump" actually diminishes the chances of a response.

Also, there is a sub-forum under Linux for UBUNTU. That is probably a better place for your question rather than "unix for Dummies".
