how to disable su command without the "-"
hello all
i need to disable the su without "-"
with another meaning i need to force executing of the .profile when using su command
any ideas ???

You can set the alias of the su command to the .profile.
alias su=". ~/.profile"
And put this entry in your .bashrc file

but i'm just a little junior with unix ,so can u give me further explanation
also i'm using aix 5.2.7 and i think .bashrc file is for lunix

You are unlikely to get an answer to disabling or modifying "su" because it is not a sensible change to make to unix. It is also not sensible to make modifications to the root account (such as forcing the user to answer a question on "login" or "su" - which is what I think you are trying to do). It is not sensible to try to run any command on root login that is not available in single user mode and you will find that system scripts such as /etc/profile go out of their way to ensure that root login works in all circumstances. be careful or you could lock yourself out of your own system.
