Network unzip problems
I am trying to unzip a 1.5g file from Oracle on a Sun Solaris box, but am getting the following error. Help!This is urgent.


note: didn't find end-of-central-dir signature at end of central dir.
(please check that you have transferred or created the zipfile in the
appropriate BINARY mode and that you have compiled UnZip properly)

Well, one obvious thing to try is to make sure you are indeed sending from one box to another in binary. When ftp'ing, type "binary" to enter binary mode. Also, just out of curiosity, how many files are inside the zip file? Just a large 1.5 gig file, or several smaller ones? I think if there's thousands of smaller ones, that could potentially produce some sort of error in older unzip versions...

Hi, client is posting a zip file with named as "LM_SEEHERE_-_TMG_905678_20100504.zip". In zip file, inside we have 3 .csv files. how to unzip the file and client needs only "LM_SEEHERE_-_TMG_905678_20100504.csv" the other two files are products.csv,category.csv. unzip via bash startup script problems

i have two lines in my rc.local file that are wget -O/<path>/<file>.zip url://domain.com unzip -o /<path>/<file>.zip the wget works fine, but the unzip won't work. when i copy/pase the unzip line to the prompt it works fine. i thought that maybe the unzip was running before the wget... (0 Replies)
