awk in a directory?
im trying to list all the August xml files on our ftp directory folder. problem is there are 1900 files in this folder. tried to execute awk using this command but it didn't work.

Sample file

-rw-r--r-- 1 ftp ftpclient 3784532 Aug 24 01:50 123456789.XML

# awk '$6 ~/Aug/' /files0/home/ftp/processed
awk: cmd. line:2: fatal: file `/files0/home/ftp/processed' is a directory

can someone walk me here with the proper command?

or

i did not know that dates can also be grepped. Both code works. Now i'm learning. thanks.
